St Mary’s Music School is a dedicated and energetic centre of learning where we are continually inspired by our surroundings, by the accomplishments of our pupils and by the superb teachers who deliver unrivalled tuition, both musical and academic, to pupils aged from 8 to 19 years.

We pride ourselves not just on our exceptional music training, but on the high calibre of our academic teaching and the way in which we nurture and support the development of each and every one of our pupils to be the very best they can be, in every aspect of their lives. As a specialist music school based in Scotland, and the nation’s only Cathedral Choir School, we admit pupils based on their musical potential and we offer financial support for tuition to almost all our pupils' families through the Scottish Government’s Aided Places Scheme, the Cathedral’s Scholarship Fund and our own School Bursary Fund. Here, in a vibrant and nurturing environment, young musicians thrive creatively, inclusively and with unwavering commitment.
